The Classic at Madden’s Receives Top Honors for the 11th Consecutive Year
Temperatures may have just started to feel winter-like in Minnesota, but it’s the perfect time to plan your spring golf getaway. The Classic at Madden’s provides a first-class golf experience. The professional layout of the course and the beautiful tree-lined fairways keep golf lovers coming back year after year. In case you needed more reasons to golf at The Classic at Madden’s, we’ve provided a few fun stats that may convince you. The Classic at Madden’s is the only golf course in Minnesota to receive a 5-Star, Top 100 rating by Golf Digest and shares the honor with only 18 courses in the nation. Named a 5-Star course since 2007, The Classic at Madden’s shares the high rating with only one other Minnesota golf course and 24 courses in the country. The Classic is the only golf course on the 5-Star list that was designed by an amateur architect – Scott Hoffmann, Madden’s grounds superintendent – other than Pebble Beach Golf Links designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant in 1919. The design of the course gives our guests the feel of what a tour player experiences week in and week out. The Classic at Madden’s is ranked 53rd on Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Places you can Play” and has made the list every year since 2003. Check out the full list here.
The green terrain and sweeping knolls isn’t the only attraction that draws guests in, The Classic peak greens fee is $119 on weekends, which is ranked as the 24th best value among the Top 100 Public courses in the nation. In addition, Madden’s guest golf rate is only $75, which is one of the best values around. Among The Classic’s peer group of Top 100 courses, the average peak-season greens fee is $193 and only 15 courses charge $100 or less. After all this, doesn’t it make you want to pick up the phone to book your tee time today at one of the top rated courses in America? We hope to see you on the green this April.
