You’ll want to take advantage of the excellent practice facilities at Madden’s as well as a nine-hole ‘Short Game’ Course giving you a variety of options for warming up to play one of our three 18-hole courses or for working on improving your game.
Located directly adjacent to the Pine Beach East and West courses, the Airport Driving Range is open daily during the season. Your warm-up won’t be hampered in the event of inclement weather…a heated and covered facility is the perfect place to practice.
MADDEN’S AIRPORT DRIVING RANGE RENOVATION
We are excited to announce that Madden’s on Gull Lake has officially broken ground on the renovation of The Airport Driving Range. Scheduled for completion in summer 2024, this project marks the beginning of an exciting transformation for our facility.
Phase 1 of the renovation will focus on creating a state-of-the-art, fully irrigated practice facility. Our goal is to offer a practice area unlike any other in the region, featuring visuals that simulate on-course scenarios to provide challenging and creative practice opportunities for our patrons.
Highlights of the renovation include the addition of fairway, rough, and sand visuals, along with the installation of 17 new target greens, including 12 specifically designed for wedge practice. These greens will vary in distance, size, and shape, offering golfers a diverse range of targets to hone their skills.
We are committed to minimizing disruptions during construction, and the Airport Driving Range will remain open throughout the renovation process. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to enhance your experience at Madden’s on Gull Lake.

The Classic at Madden’s Practice Facilities
A full-size driving range is available for warm up before your round at The Classic as well as a practice putting and chipping green.
The Social 9
Perhaps the best way to practice or get ready for your round is to play the Social 9, our 9-hole short-game course. Hitting a variety of distances to the postage-stamp size greens on this course will hone in your approach shots and challenge your pitching and chipping.
