We asked the designer, Scott Hoffmann, to take us on a brief tour of his design and to talk about his favorite holes.
Number One, a par-5 that measures 545 yards from the back tees and 380 from the forward, ranks high with its designer. "You need a good position shot here off the tee," Hoffmann says. "There's a generous landing area, but the placement of your drive is important to setting up your second shot. The problem is that you're hitting to the top of the hill and you can't see the green from the tee."
Try to favor the left center of the fairway on your drive. As you walk up to your ball, you're going to enjoy a great view of Bass Lake in the distance. On your second shot, you're aiming at a fairway landing area that has water on both sides. |
